Back to back courses?
Hello, are back to back classes a good idea? I have 3 back to back. Thanks!

I personally prefer back to back classes, instead of spread out. That way you finish all your classes in one big chunk for the day and have rest of the day to do what you want (study, go out, etc.). It does get tiring listening to 3 lectures in a row though, but I'd just tank it.

You'll soon realize that you much prefer to have 2-4 hours of class in a row preferably starting at around 10:30 going until 2:20 instead of having it spread out until 5:30 or later. You lose a LOT of time if your classes are spaced out, because it takes a LOT of effort to actually sit down somewhere and review. Sorry, but we're not all robots. Yes, I mean you, people that go to Thode between classes to study. I mean you.

Work, eat, study, etc. What do you normally do when you have free time?

What you could do before/after classes. Study, eat, sleep, play sports, play video games, chill with friends..etc.

You may be confused right now as to what you'll be doing in between classes but eventually once the school year starts you'll figure it out.

I usually go somewhere quiet and read, or use the time to visit professors or TAs in their office if I have a question.

I also like having back to back classes because I find that the hour breaks aren't very productive. But it's good to have at least one in your day so you can eat.
3 classes back to back isn't that bad but when it's 6 or more then it gets annoying.
Especially when you have a 3 hour lab squished in there (labs can be draining)
... What did I get myself into :(

3 back to back is nice, but having 4-6, or having a lab in the middle is much less fun. I found with 1 hour gaps it is not always the easiest to get a lot of work done since by the time you find a spot and get unpacked, 1/4 of the time is already up and than you have to leave earlier depending on where your class is
