People should learn how to lock their bikes. Invest in a quality U-Lock, and ALWAYS lock around the rear rim and tire, in the triangle defined by the seat stay, chain stay, and seat tube. This prevents the rear and more expensive wheel from being stolen, along with the whole frame. Usually these locks like an OnGuard, or Kryptonite, also comes with a cable lock which can be used to lock the saddle and the front wheel with that extra sense of security.
