Toys R' Us?

how big are you thinking though?

I know asian stores like Smart Maple or Ones Better Living sell large character dolls but those cost an arm and a leg

Toys R Us is your best option, but you can also try stores like Hallmark and Carlton Cards.

One's has a decent selection, but like someone said earlier, they're quite pricy.

I did a build-a-bear for my 16th birthday and he is AWESOME. It cost a frtue though because all the bears/animals are different prices and then you have to buy the clothes on top of it. But they do have this neat thing where you can record your voice and they'll put it in the bear's arm and when you squueze it, your voice will come out.

DISNEY STORE. But again, those will all be Disney characters, and they also cost a lot. But I figure that you may as well get a good quality one; both those stores have good quality stuffed animals.
