Our student government is only worth what we put into it. I’ve spent three years following student politics and MSU affairs, as both a concerned student and inside member. In all that time, I’ve come to believe that I can affect the change we as students deserve.
That’s why I’m seeking election to the Student Representative Assembly. The SRA is the chief legislative body of the MSU, and is comprised of the board of directors and 31 members from each faculty, of which four members are from the Faculty of Humanities. My fellow Hummers understand that we’re a faculty in desperate need of advocacy, representation and respect.
I’m not going to promise you the unattainable. I offer you accessibility, accountability for my actions and strong representation for every single member of our faculty.
I promise nothing more than my best.
My platform focuses on three points: advocacy, respect and representation.
Advocacy - I will advocate tirelessly for all Humanities students to every level of the University’s administration.
Respect - I will work with the McMaster Humanities Society to highlight major issues facing our faculty and work to ensure McMaster’s Faculty of Humanities receives the respect it needs.
Representation - I will speak with you, as students, so that everyone can voice their concerns to me and help me formulate proposals and recommendations I will bring to university administrators and the SRA.

Voting is this Monday, March 14 and Tuesday, March 15 in the North Lobby of Chester New Hall. Thats by the Robinson Memorial Theatre. I'll be in the students centre by the Tim Hortons pretty much all day, each polling day if anyone needs help finding the polling station.
Discussion is an integral part of democracy, so if anyone has any questions, let me know and I'll reply to the best of my abilities.
Get out and vote! Make your voice heard!
