Convience stores at Mac?
Are there any convience stores at Mac, where I can purchases soup (e.g. chef boyardee) or tv dinners? Considering I have about 3000$ worth in my student card, I can use the money to buy somewhat healthier food..

One more question, can I use my student ID to purchase food at the barn? Im still lookin through the HSR maps and I dont know what bus I should take :(

Hi ! you can purchase some of the small items like soap, can food, etc at the mini mac in Mary E. Keyes using your student meal card Flex dollars I think. But i have to say the are definately more expensive that buying at a grocery store. There is also a mini convience store in the student center beside the union's market. It is still more expensive too compared to buying off campus once again. and they do not accept student cards. You can't use the student Id to purchase at the barn. You can go to the barn or other grocery stores by checking this site out! http://www.msu.mcmaster.ca/macgreen/tg/grocery.php

If you're looking to buy healthier food TV dinners and Chef Boyardee are not the way to go. Have you ever read the back of a TV dinner or frozen meal box?

Just choose the healthier options the many places on campus on offer. Bridges the vegetarian restaurant for example or Your Healthy Choice in Commons might be places you'd be more interested in eating.

East Meets West Bistro is located in the Mary Keyes building. And they do have a store called My Mini Mac, and it sells tv dinners, and cans of soup (chunky soup and chef boyrdee). As Eva C said in an earlier post. But the Bistro itself is a restaurant type place where you order your food and then go pick it up.

you can use your regular dollars for any food at the mini mac place in keyes, its only other things like saran wrap and paper towel that you need your flex dollars for, so go nuts!
