When does the OSAP funding summary get released?
Hi. So I sent my application online in June and sent the declaration pages and other supplementary stuff through mail about 2 or 3 weeks ago.
When I go on the OSAP site to check the status, it gives me a chart under the title 'funding summary' but it's still empty.
One of my friends says that he's already got the funding summary and everything and I thought, too, that you are supposed to get the funding summary as soon as you get everything done.
When does the funding summary usually get released?
And when do you get to know how much OSAP loan you actually got? (not just an estimate but an exact amount you are eligible for?)

Thank you.

I sent in my OSAP application about a month ago in the beginning of June. OSAP told me the actual amount I was getting in first term and second term about a week or two ago. I JUST got an e-mail like 30 minutes ago from Mac telling me that OSAP is now available on my Payment agreement, so I would say that you should get yours within the next 2-3 weeks, maybe even one.

Thank you so much for replying. So did you get an e-mail (or mail?) from OSAP and not McMaster (about the actual loan you are getting)? Because when I go to OSAP site, the 'funding summary' chart appears empty but when I go to MUGSI, the chart under entitlement says $0.
So I called the office today and they said the application is still being processed.
Does it supposed to say $0? Does your chart on MUGSI say otherwise? I'm so lost and confused.

You'll get an e-mail from OSAP telling you to check your status once they've reviewed your application and made sure everything there is legit. That's when you'll see how much you're getting. Once that's done it'll probably be another week until Mac processes the news, they'll then e-mail you to tell you to update your payment agreement.
Technically your OSAP entitlement is 0$ until Mac receives news from OSAP.

Note: Don't forget to give Mac your SIN #, otherwise you won't get any scholarships, OSAP or bursaries. You can do this by going to MUGSI > My Profile > Social Insurance Number

O thank God. I thought I got rejected from OSAP because everything in the chart said $0 (and I just couldn't find any reasons as to why I got rejected).
That makes everything so much clearer now!
Thank you so much for your help (and for the Note, too)!
