Elect Francis Jun For Sra Social Science
My name is Francis Jun and i am a political science major. I wish to represent Social Science students in the SRA this year.
As a candidate, I will not act merely as the voice of my representatives, but I will also serve as their arms and legs. I am willing to do almost anything asked of me by the students of McMaster Social Science. By anything, I literally mean anything.
In the past, I have been involved on campus with the IRC Bylaws committee, Welcome Week Residence Representative for Bates Hall in 2008 and the Maroons Welcome Week Representative for Welcome Week 2009.
I have worked efficiently in the past with members of the MSU student governing body and I am confident that I can continue to do so. I am also a very vocal character who is not afraid to speak out in front of many students, whether it is in a formal or informal environment. I am also immune to embarrassment, nervousness and Jack Bauer.
Although this is the first time I will be running for a student representative position, if elected, I have no doubt that I will do more than a satisfactory job in working with fellow SRA members to bring about the required mandates to make McMaster University truly the school to be envied.
I am willing to learn and be advised by other student leaders who have paved the way for the current generation of the student governing body. I believe that their experiences and methods are very important to make the SRA much more efficient.
Besides the same promises that are promised by every other candidate such as promises regarding SOLAR and MUGSI, the only promise i can make to the students that i will know for sure that i can keep is that i will work hard on every task given to me with dedication.
I will actively inform students of the progress that SRA makes over periods of weeks and other informations that students should be aware of regarding their education.
I also believe that working closely on every opportunity given with OUSA is imperative for student's quality of services on various issues on Student fundings as they are the representatives for students on government level.
The Voting takes place in THE STUDENT CENTRE NEAR WILLIAMS COFFEE PUB on THURSDAY 22nd Of OCTOBER from 9:30 AM to 4:30PM.
