Hey Fellow Mac Insiders,
For the First time in engineering in the past 2 years we have managed to get an election in the engineering cacus. I think i can proudly say i was one of the few people who worked towards enouraging people such that we have elections. This year we actuallly have enough people interested in fighting for what engineering deserves.
I am a third year Elec and Biomed Engineering student. Being quite involved in campus life for longest ...time i figured there is been very little debate/voice heard about certain important issues that affect Students, in particular Engineers.
I run on a three point agenda,
Increased Transparency
Increased Accountability
Increased Communication
Lets face it, MSU is the student body that is our voice. How many of us know what MSU really does? i am looking to change that if elected.
I am planning to host bi-weekly office hours
A regularly updated engineering blog
Atleast 6 , "speak to your representative" events per year completely hosted by Engineering cacus.I am also planning on working with the election's committee at MSU in increasing student participation.
Another important issue that i am hoping to raise if elected is about the quality of education at our university. We all know how some of our faculty are. I am planning on working with VP education and the senate to increase the acocuntability of certain faculties when issues about faculty members are raised.
As far as my experience is concerned,I have been a student leader througout my student career
Currently i am part of the Bylaws and Procedures committee (elected positon)
Have been a political comentator for the past 3 years.( ya that s right, i criticize things a lot)
Exercise your right, MAKE AN INFORMED DECISSION. You can vote for 5 people. Choose the one whom you think will speak for you.
Elections on march 14th and 15th in JHE lobby
Thanks Guys
