Free running
Hey guys. Any parkour(freerunning) people at Mac? Anyone interested in it?
I want to do it this summer and I was thinking maybe I could get some advice/etc. I went to Toronto this week and I decided to give it a bit of a try. I ran from the main UofT campus to Union. It's definitely exhilarating.
I want to hear about your freerunning experiences and if you want to do something in a group this summer.

Hmm, interesting, I might be interested then! I've been trying to get myself into things during the summer but have only really done biking and a bit of running/jogging..

I'm pretty sure there's an official McMaster Parkour club somewhere. Last I heard, they went in group runs and conditioning workouts too. I used to be a member but I never got around to actually going to their meetups, but I liked the idea.

There's their page for anyone interested.

Free running is SO cool. Definitely check out the campus club. I've seen them doing their group runs quite a few times and they have some really skilled people. It's for people of all levels though and they love newcomers.

I've always been interested in this, but I haven't been in shape since I was 16 and I have no endurance whatsoever. Pretty sure you have to be in decent shape to do parkour.

Oh come on Cheri, you can do it. There's no competition, people are understanding, this will not hurt your body( as long as you don't push yourself too hard I guess).
I will try to contact the club then, see if there's anything going on this summer. I'll post it here if there is. If there's not, I'll organize smth.

I found the hamilton parkour people. They meet at Mac sometimes:
hamilton.pkto.ca
In fact, most are Mac students and they have an MSU club(though that shouldn't matter).
