French 2B03
It's basically finishing up the last five chapters in the textbook. Same format as 1A06. Do the grammar, learn the vocab + 4 writing assignments (2 summaries, a story and a film review) 4 quizzes an oral presentation, midterm and exam.
I took it during the summer, so it was a lot more condensed. I really enjoyed just getting all the grammar over with, no point in dragging it all out. We read the articles in the textbook because we were short on time, but you may read a book if you take it during the year. Not entirely sure.
I had Professor Claude Zesseu. He's very nice, really wants to make sure everyone understands things perfectly. He often repeated important points in english, which may have helped some people with comprehension but I just found it annoying.
All and all a boring, by the book course. But it's required, and it is possible to do well in it as long as you put in the time studying.

I'm guessing you're taking it in summer school this year? Me too! Dr. Grodek is one of my favourite profs, very kind and funny. I just had her from 1A06E, and quite honestly, 3 hours with her flies by!

I'm minoring in French and Grodek is actually my favourite prof! She is funny and 2 hours passed by so quickly with her. I'd be really happy to be in one of her classes again. She has high expectations from her students, but in the end, it's for your benefit. She's fair though and she tries to be as lenient as possible.

Grodek is the better out of the french profs, and also a good idea to take this in the summer.
