GPA Required to Transfer to Mac Eng
Hey guys,
I have asked around and it seems I'm not getting concrete answers, even if I email them, and I just recently stumbled upon this forum. I will be attending the University of Ottawa first year for Computer Engineering. I am fine with attending this university, it is more of a financial issue. If I can transfer to McMaster for Computer Engineering I would be commuting and be able to lessen the financial burden on my family currently. I was just wondering what GPA do I need for a good chance of getting accepted for second year transfer into Computer Engineering. I know Mac has a different GPA scale than uOttawa so if you could provide an answer in terms of percentage that would help as well (80,85,90, etc.)

Thank you for any information that you can provide at all.

That's a roundabout way of saying that you don't have the high school average to get into Mac Eng.

There won't be a concrete answer, the only answer is as high as possible.

I went to uOttawa first year for Chem eng and had a 8.8 gpa first semester and like 7 gpa second semester. McMaster accepted me before even looking at my second semester marks so kind of got lucky. Only 5 courses will transfer over though, Calc 1, calc 2, vectors, chemistry and programming.
