Grades
I just logged on to mugsi for my marks, and I was wondering if the grades listed under final grade points are the final marks for each course this term. If not, what are the other columns for (def grade points, midyr grade points)?

Yes final grade points are your final mark.
I wouldn't worry about it.
This is just a guess, but maybe Midyear grade points are for those taking 6 unit courses which last the whole year.
And maybe def grade points are for deferred courses? idunnolol

Technically, these marks aren't final. They aren't finalized until the end of the year.
Midterm grades are if you are taking the class over the course of the entire academic year.
Def grad points are a little more complex. They will show your grade without taking into account your deferred exam grade. Then several months after you write your deferred exam your grade from the course will go up. Both grades are shown in your grade report.

Hey I have a sort of "dumb" question...Are these grades posted including the final exams I just gave in December?
Like My Polisci 1g06 midyear grade is up...Do you think they also include the final(midterm sort of..since its a full year course) exam I gave in december?
And If so Is there any way I can SEE the exam and what marks/percentage I recieved in my december exam?

The midterm grade is the exam you just wrote in December - I'm taking a 6 unit course as well, but we didn't have a midterm (quarter term?) halfway through the semester, and so the only mark I have posted for that is the December exam

The midterm grade is any course work you have completed up until your midterm exam.
Not all full year courses are required to give out a midterm mark: I don't think I will be getting one for one of the courses I'm taking this term, and I've not had grades come up in other classes.
You may be able to ask your professor if you can see your exam in January, but it's all up to them!

Wait, I'm confused. I also took Political Science 1G06. Does the midterm mark not include the midterm exam we wrote on the 5th? Does that go for all year long courses?

Anything and everything that you did up until December 17th (last day of exams) will be included in your mark posted on mugsi. This will be your 'midterm' mark because your course is 8 months, therefore everything you did in the first 4 months makes up the midterm grade!
