Gym Membership Costs
I'm have a hard time finding this information, but what are the costs for the different types of gym memberships? And are there facilities that are free? If someone could direct me to the right page, it'd be much appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Here you go: http://www.marauders.ca/sports/2011/...&path=act liv

Basic access to the athletic centre is covered under your tuition + fees as a full time student. If you want the good weight room and the cardio machines you'll need to upgrade to a pulse membership.

Thank you! Question though, are the weights in the no charge membership bad or is that they are always in use?

With the one you get just by being a student at Mac, you don't get access to any weights. The gymnasiums, running track, squash courts among a few other things are included. When you pay, you get access to the weight gym, cardio equipment and climbing wall.

Edit: Forgot to mention the pool is free too

You are allowed to sign-out equipment like basketballs, soccer balls, etc. for open gym/field.

As for the Swimming Pool, this is something some people at Mac do not realize: It is also covered under your tuition + fees. There is no additional cost to use the pool unless it is for a booking.

The following are drop-in:
- Lengths (shallow end, deep end or long course)
- Leisure (shallow end is more or less hangout, deep end allows for use of the diving boards)

A schedule is posted on the McMaster athletics website under 'facilities - swimming pool - pool availability'

As far as I know there McMaster doesn't directly offer bikes for loan. There will be four hubs for SoBi Hamilton on campus by September though and you can return them to places other than campus: http://hamilton.socialbicycl es.com/
