heater
when is the heater in rez going to turn on? It is really cold now. OR, can we bring in a portable heater?

I know eh. I freeze at night even with two blankets. I hope it doesn't get too hot with the heater though.

You can contact housing to tell them and also ask when they will start heating the buildings.

Hamilton bylaw states that you must be provided with heating from Oct1-Apr1. (or maybe Apr30? I don't remember exactly right now...) When I was in res, it definitely turned on on Oct 1--I remember because it was super warm that week and with the heat we were all dying. There might be something that you need to manually control?

When I went to ask them (Mary Keyes Services Desk) yesterday, they said either today or tomorrow. So basically it should be turned on today.

If your in Mckay (as your profile says) then on the heater against the window there should be a dial, turn it all the way up. the heat comes on at strange times and you wont actually hear the heater working, but i remember i turned it all the way up since i didnt think it worked and i came back at the end of the weekend and the room as really warm

It's so hot today. I'm in hedden and our a/c definitely is different now than before.
