I'm in first year life science, and after first semester my avg GPA is a 9. I was wondering if i would get into the biochemistry specialization. Also, how many people get accepted to this specialization? and what the avg GPA to get in is?

I dont have the stats from this year but the above stats should give you a ballpark idea of what to expect.

Apparently last years cut off was like 11.1

That's most likely for the Biochem + Biomed Research Stream. The normal biochem shouldn't be that high or else no one would get in

I am a high school student.May I ask if you took both Biology 11 and Biology 12 in high school to enter in McMaster Life Science? Or just Biology 12 is good enough? Thank you so much!

As far as I know, Grade 11 Biology is required to take Grade 12 Biology in Ontario. But McMaster will only look at your Grade 12 biology mark when you apply.
