hello i was just wondering if anyone has taken this class!! I would really like to know more about it and if its worth taking!!

I haven't taken this class, but I am in the linguistics program... this is the last 2nd year class I would want to take as it doesn't sound too interesting. If the legal world interests you, you might like this class.
Here's the description:
An introduction to the discipline of language and the law. Through a consideration of several famous trials and cases, topics covered include: speaker/voice identification, the language of police interrogations, courtroom language, forensic document investigation, the nature of legal language, the linguist as expert witness.

Why is it that whenever someone asks for information on a course, McMaster's faculty pages are down?
I'll keep on checking to see if the website come back up. There should be a course outline for this course. I know there are course outlines for linguistic courses, so there's a good chance the one for this course is provided.
