Local Hamilton Bands
Hey Everyone,

I'm not sure about you, but I like to check out the local bands, and I had to share this one I came across.

They are called Fall of Spring, and are amazing, sounds a lot like No Doubt.

And they are playing in Hamilton at the Casbah on October 16th!!!

Here are all the details: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?ei...411996&index=1

I have seen them before and they are amazing live! If you want to listen to their songs check out their myspace: www.myspace.com/fallofspring

Just thought I would share.

Arkells are a McMaster-based band. At least one of them (Max?) was in TCBY last night.

Some other good Hamilton bands:

Holding Sky (featuring 3 Mac alum): http://www.myspace.com/holdingsky

Stars in Stereo: http://www.myspace.com/starsinstereo
They won the Mac battle of the bands last year and are currently in the studio recording a new disc.

It is Max! He went to my highschool... he was the president when I was in grade 9, so four years later, imagine my surprise when I saw him and found out he's in a band that's doing pretty well. Their music's pretty good.

Harbord Tigers! I went to Harbord Collegiate too. I remember Max as president of student council when I was in grade 11 and his frequent sing alongs on his guitar. My sister went to middle school with him and has a cute picure of him in her yearbook.

LOL. Remember his sandals and socks? I always remember him like that, walking around with his guitar. I hated Harbord haha, so I switched to Bloor for 5th year before coming to Mac.

I've seen the Arkells being interviewed more than once on MTV.

I really like The Very Excellent Goods. They played at a McMaster club event too, it was a small thing.

http://www.myspace.com/saverock

Also I like Live How You Live, with lead singer Carm Milito.

http://www.myspace.com/livehowyoulive

I saw Carm open for Brian Melo at The Studio in Hamilton Place last year and he was really excellent.
