Did anyone go to the lost and found sale that occurred earlier today in front of mills? It was pretty epic.

They had tons of lost and forgotten iPods, MP3 players, external hard drives .etc for ~$10 each... but a couple douchebags went and bought almost all the good stuff in one go. Same with the textbooks... this jackass went and blocked everyone from looking at them as he piled up all (including multiple copies) of the engineering books, probably with the intent to resell at a higher value later.

Stuff that didn't run out quickly though were laptop power supplies and USB keys. The lady selling the USB keys was kinda retarded and was like "15 dollars for a 4 GB hurrrrrrr". She eventually switched places with this brown dood though that was like "all USBs regardless of size.... 1 dollar lol".

I managed to get 4 USB keys, a Samsung YP-T10 (not sure if it works.... looks really scuffed up and requires a proprietary cable) and a pretty decent bicycle for ~50 dollars.

So to all the people who lose expensive things and don't bother going and looking for them, thanks. lol

I was standing near there and people were saying it was an auction + the line was huge so I had no idea what was going on and just went to class.

It's announced on the McMaster security page. It occurs usually in the first few weeks of September every year.

I only knew about it because last year one of my friends from highschool ran up to me hyperventilating about how he bought a 40 GB Zune for like 15 dollars. lol

It was from that moment on that I made sure to never forget this sale.

lol, part of the reason I went was to see if they were selling off my iPhone I lost sometime last January. They were not :(

Dunno how to look at that: if they were selling it, I was not at the front of the line (had class before) so I would have had to fight whoever did buy it. It would also look super dumb if after said fight (regardless of whether I win or lose) it just turned out to be some other person's lost iPhone.

I did, however, manage to get the textbook for one of my courses for a whole $2.. and they threw in the study guide for free
