Welcome to the McMaster University Varsity Badminton Team Tryouts!

This year we are looking to recruit 10 males and 10 females to join our team. If you are interested or know a friend that may be interested, please invite them to this event.

Regular practices will take place twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30pm to 8:20pm during the fall semester. During the winter semester, practices will take place three times a week: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 6:30pm to 8:20pm.

Format of the tryouts will be announced by the coach; however, there will be a competitive component so please be ready to play games on the day of tryout. (Plastic birds will be provided for this portion but you are welcome to bring your own feather birds).

There is NO fee for attending the tryouts!

Tryout Dates:
Men's tryout begins on Tues Sept 16 at 6:30pm
Women's tryout begins on Thurs Sept 18th at 6:30pm

Tryouts are currently scheduled for 1 day but may be extended (as it did last year) depending on level of competition and interest. If you cannot make the set date, please contact our head coach Grzegorz Staciwa at [email protected] for special accommodations.

Proper athletic footwear is mandatory, you may be asked to leave if you do not have proper footwear.
