Move out garbage
Does anyone know if the city of Hamilton offers a morning where they are willing to pick up all excess garbage from students moving out? (ie. couches, furniture, etc.)

I know in London they do for UWO and Fanshawe students, but with May 1st quickly approaching, I'm trying to figure out how our house is going to get rid of our extra trash.

Thanks!

maybe try calling the city. All i know is hamilton seems to hate students and their garbage, recently passing a bylaw for our area that puts MASSIVE fines on houses that put out too much garbage

Here's the City of Hamilton webpage on the pick up of bulk items:

Looks like they don't pick up bulk items this time of the year.

That's a negatory. After 3 years with 6 guys, these things need to see the dump, far far far from good condition. Sorry!

Hey, there is a recycling centre/dump close by on 27 Olympic Drive in Dundas. That's where I dropped all my unwanted furniture. It's cheap too.

Theres also the option of junk removal services, check out google.. there are corporations or even small businesses that do this kind of thing.. mind you, it might be cheaper to rent a truck; especially if you're moving out, or have various friends getting rid of junk or moving out...
