I wanted to join this year but my mom threw out my cleats a while ago. Can i play in nikes? Also, are the teams separated by gender or teams can be made of boys and girls? when do people usually make a team?

There werent necessary when I played 2 years ago. It is nice to have though.

There are also diff league you can play in, Mens, Womens or Co-Ed.

Check the Intramurals section on the McMaster Athletics and Recreation website for more details! There are both Corec and Male/Female leagues at three skill levels. People make the teams in early September since signup deadlines are between September 5th-11th. You can also join the free agents roster on the web portal Ath & Rec uses for teams and players to register online.

Secondly, games are played both on the rough grass Back 10 Rugby Fields and the more modern turf fields (Alumni, Ron Joyce and Track). When it gets rainy/wet as it is in the fall, I wouldn't really recommend running shoes on the waterlogged grass.

On a side note if you happen to be around size 11-12 I do have 2-3 barely used shoes I have always wanted to sell off. They are Nike/Adidas at $30, $40 and $90. Send me a PM.
