Hi everyone,
Just wanted to let you know that a new course is being offered this coming summer in Health, Aging, and Society called Critical Perspectives of the Pharmaceutical Age. It draws on history, sociology, anthropology, and health studies material.
Put briefly, the course examines the role of pharmaceuticals in modern life. Some of the questions we'll address: do pharmaceutical companies have too much influence in academia? Are some governments preventing their population from getting medication? How did aspirin change the world? And most importantly, why is Pele trying to sell me viagra?
I make no legally binding promises but can absolutely guarantee that this will be the most action-packed, death-defying, hard-hitting, and eyebrow-raising course I'll be teaching all summer...possibly with the exception of HLTH AGE 2G03E Mental Health.
Sign up for HLTH AGE 3Q03E!
