The thing that sucks about p90x is that it destroys your confidence. Just seeing how many these people do is impressive, but when you realize you can't even do a quarter of it you start to give up.

That's why I prefer to just go to the gym and do my own workout routine with my friends. That way my friends push me, which is important in order to see results and I feel good about myself.

I think the reason why people have trouble with p90x is because of the cardio. If you aren't used to exercising for a long time then you get tired very easily.

I did P90X last summer. It definitely worked but its its working towards is a lean athletic type. If you want to do it correctly, you're going to need a set of bands at the least, 1-1.5 hours per day for the workout and check out the meal plan. Your only going to get the right results if you follow everything, including the meal plan. Its pretty tough, epically the first couple of weeks.

You get better results with weights and some of the exercises can only be done with weights. Never liked the bands.

You don't have to strictly follow the meal plan, just eat healthier.

I dunno...

When you get closer to them you feel more confident and better :S

I can do almost do everything the people on the video can do now, 6 months later though

It depends what your going for. If your an endurance runner or swimmer, you probably don't want to get completely bulk. Also, if you can do some of stuff like chin-ups without bands then you might not even need them. Its a personal choice in the end.

You don't have to follow the meal plan but its designed to go with the workout. Low carbs and high protein at the beginning and vice versa at the end. Its not just about healthy eating. At the very least I would recommend taking a look at the plan. You can probably find a torrent with all the P90X stuff.

Yeah, but 6 months is a long time compared to the 90 days it's supposed to be and people get discouraged to easily these days. It's a very "now" society and people want to see results quickly. If they don't they just give up.

6 months is the two rounds I've been doing it. I saw amazing results first 3 months so I'm sticking with it type of thing. Eh if people are that impatient then whatever.

I think people give up easily because they don't like being sore everyday :p

P90x doesn't add as much as bulk as you think, it's an overall body thing.

Monday = weight lifting
Tuesday = cardio
Wed = weight lifting
Thursday = yoga
Friday = weight lifting
Saturday = cardio
Sunday = rest

P90x is for people who just want to be fit and it works in that regard.

Aha, for some reason I like being sore. Not to the point where it's painful to touch though. But it makes me feel like I had an awesome workout the day before. The only thing that sucks is that you don't have that good of a workout the following day if you have to somewhat use that muscle group.

The reason for this is I guess to look better..I just ordered $300 worth of bikinis online so...
How about you post weekly update pics so that we can track your progress from before and after the program? Just an idea.

if you want your own version of p90x, get a set of dumbbells, go to this site

http://www.exrx.net/Lists/Directory.html

work out any muscle you want

don't eat surgery stuff, keep the meat to a low, RUN (it losses weight hugely), if you can, do 30 situps everyday, you won't get ripped abs but you'll get a very good looking stomach.
