Arsenal did a lot of signing after departure of Nasri and Fabregas, but it is not going to be enough to replace them. Arteta has passed the prime, Benayoun also has little left, and Joo-Young Park is nothing special, just another replacement for Bendtner. Although addition of Mertesacker is going to help defence. Simply, these signings are not going to replicate the creativity, passing and movement that orchestrated tremendous midfield display. And I can see Arsenal struggle to enter Big 4. I think Liverpool will replace Arsenal, knowing Tottenham is also out of flavour.
And yes, Ferguson has successfully introduced young players into the 1st team squad. I think that having long-term manager who commits to this season and looking far into the future has great effect on the team.
Last game, Rooney contributed with hat-trick, occasionally he came down to the midfield to open up more offensive tactical option and he even kept the ball off the goal-line in Bolton's clear cut chance. I think he is in his prime.
My question: Is this enough for Manchester United to beat Barca?
