Pulse Help
http://www-athrec.mcmaster.ca/regist...hip-8month.htm

From the looks of things, pulse membership for 8 months from Sep to April are gone ? Or is the website outdated.
It would suck not being able to enroll in gym :S:S
Does anyone have any way to get enrolled in gym if the memberships are out ?

Don't worry about it for now. You're best to pick up your membership at the DBAC (gym) office when you get here.
Only thing that concerns me is not seeing a lottery for men's lockers this year. It took me 2.5 years to get my locker, didn't use to be a lottery, you would have to be there the day they started selling the lockers. The last guy to get a locker showed up just before 6am. (Office opens at 8:15am)

The website isn't so much outdated, as they're just not going to bother selling memberships for the regular year until we get much closer to the deadline.

Cheers.

Oh ok. So no worries about the gym. Do we buy the membership on move-in day ?
Lockers sound very popular lol

You buy a membership whenever you'd like; I bought my 4 month membership in mid January and it lasted 4 months from that date. Not sure about the 8th month though; you may want to write them an email or just call and ask

8 month is the same.

FYI. Although lockers are near impossible to get coming in, they do still have day lockers, both full and half size. You bring in your own lock and can have your stuff in there while you're there for the day. There are quite a few day lockers, but they tend to fill up around peak hours as well.

Oh okay, you don't have to pay for those 'day lockers' right?

Nope, that's on a first-come basis.

Fair enough. I mainly plan on going to the gym in the evening time after I'm done all my homework for the day. Would that be advisable or no? :o

That really depends on your lifestyle. Depending on the time of evening, it tends to be busy later in the day. A lot of people think that way.
I personally, in first year, when I lived in Woodstock, would head over to the gym 6-6:30am every other morning, when it's still relatively quiet.
Now if only I could have kept up that lifestyle after first year...

if you go in the night time, there is a lot of people and it can get crowded and you might not get the machine you want right away.
in the mornings is when its free, and its when the day lockers are free too!
weekend mornings are the best!!!! theres less people so more time for you on the machine and no fighting for a locker!
remember to bring your own lock!
