In terms of early release, there's no specific requirement a student has to meet in order to get their osap right? We just need to have our payment agreement confirmed, and bring all required identification? Also, can we ask them to mail the entrance scholarship as a cheque rather than deduct it from tuition?

If you don't choose McMaster Scholarship as a payment method, then it should be sent as a cheque. Unless it's already been credited to your student account.

On the QEII part of the OSAP site, it says I've received $0, which is true. But if you click the 2010-2011 link next to the $0 it shows that I'm eligable for $2940, and that's also been deducted from the money I owe in my payment agreement.
Which is weird, because I missed the deadline by one day. I didn't think I'd get anything.

Man, I'm envious . I didn't get jack from them...not even 100$. What was your average by the way, if you don't mind me asking.

90.33%. I'm the second child in university in my family also.
The closing day was a Friday and I did it the Saturday, so maybe they included weekend applicants as well because of the time it takes to process the applications.
EDIT: I'd also like to note that this is my 100th post. Hello, SENIOR MEMBER!

Although this wasn't directed to me, i got $3500. I'm the fourth child to go to university, but only one of those is still a dependent (making both of us full time dependent students this year). My graduating class was 241 students and I had an 88% average. I was probably in the top 25 students at least. To be honest I'm surprised i got the whole amount. Grateful, but surprised.

I got $100 dollars, another sibling also in university, average was high 90's and still got the absolute minimum. for people who got 3500, were your OSAP loans really high as well? mine was pretty sizeable so I was just wondering... either way free money is free money =D

It should be bundled with your McMaster Scholarships in your payment agreement. Otherwise they should send you a cheque or credit it to your student account.

Me too! lol You've pretty much described my situation/reaction to getting this (well minus the fourth child bit).

Not quite sure, but it should be possible that money on your student account (due to scholarships) could be used towards your books.
