I don't buy the textbooks until after talking with Profs about how required they are, a lot of the time they are listed but not necessary.
Was the Psych book available last year? I didn't even know we had one we were supposed to buy >.< Guess I should start looking at the booklist.
The guide to writing about Bio is completely useless. It comes packaged with the textbooks for 1A03 and 1M03 though, for cheaper than buying both separately, so you can't really complain.
Also if you have roommates in the same program sharing textbooks is a great way to save money.

I thought the writing guide was useful. Maybe it was just me but I found the instructions for the formal lab report a bit vague and the guide cleared up some of my questions. I'm a bit hesitant of selling mine lol.

The writing guide was required for some lab quiz questions if I recall. In the long run, to some, those questions for less than a percent might not matter so much but they could all add up in marks.
I used the writing guide for biology for the report we had to do and I found it came in handy with the formatting for the report, what to include and what not to include, etc.

Generally, I wouldn't buy 1ls3 math text book and psych. I bought 1ls3 and I didn't use it as much.

I disagree-the practise problems in the text are essential for doing well in 1ls3. Our prof noticed no one was doing the practise Q and so our last test and some exam questions were directly from the text.

If the teacher is different then the material might change. I would still wait.

Someone asked that before, and it seems like it's really unlikely that editions will change in the next 3 weeks. Those are the same books I'm planning on getting now, still hesitating a bit, But I know I'll definitely be using those a LOT.

Even if they change, it's not likely that it'll be a drastic change. Getting the older editions should save you some money.

If there is just one edition sold at titles isn't that the book we're supposed to get?

If you buy used books from someone, they might have the older edition from previous years.

Hmm, I doubt they'd have more than one edition,if no one is using them again this year. unless it's one of the used books from past years

Hi everyone. I was just wondering if someone can tell me the website, or where to go to find out which texts I need for the school year. Thanks!
