UNICEF McMaster - Project Harvest Presentation
"Every 3.6 seconds one person dies of starvation and usually it is a child under the age of 5."

Today, this has become just another statistic: a number we forget a few minutes after hearing it. Children worldwide are the most fragile members of society and usually have little or no choice in changing their own circumstances. We all need to keep in mind that there are enough resources on Earth to feed each and every one of us.

At UNICEF McMaster, we recognize that this is a dire issue that requires a multifaceted and collaborative response. On Tuesday November 4th from 6:00-7:00 pm in HSC 1A3, you are invited to join a presentation about Project Harvest, an organization working in Guatemala to reverse the chronic malnutrition that plagues 50% of children under the age of 5 in this country. Our guest speaker Paul Lemieux hopes to deliver a powerful and informative presentation that discusses some of the work currently being done and how you can get involved. If you would like to attend, please RSVP on our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/events/713308262091817/

Hope to see everyone there,
