3rd year Biology: Mol Biol 3HH3 and 3AA3
Hello,

I was wondering if anybody had some recent experience with these courses.

For Biology 3AA3, Pharmacology, I wanted to know about:

- how was Dr. Grover?
- What was his testing style? How difficult were they?
- Did this course require a lot of memorization or was it more conceptual?
- What is the lab all about? Is it mandatory?

For Mol Biol 3HH3
- how was Dr.Gupta?
- was the memorization too overwhelming?
- what was the testing style like?
- is it mandatory to attend class? (I have a conflict with a class I cannot change)

Thanks a lot.

Oh, and for both, how important are the textbooks?
Thanks!

In terms of the textbooks, you're best emailing the professors. There are quite a few reviews up about Cytoplasm that you may want to check out. From what I hear, the course is heavy on memorization and the final is cumulative.

If you are in the faculty of science and have a conflict between two required classes, you must change one or drop it. If you do not, the faculty will contact you suggesting you resolve the conflict, and if you still do not, you will be required to meet with the Dean's office. The Associate Dean of Science's office does not permit enrolling in a conflict; while other faculties, like Engineering, might be able to, ours does not.

Therefore, you would have to change something at this point, or drop a course.

I hope that helps
Cheers

I am sure there will be openings during the DROP/ADD period. Those are the times I get into most of the courses I require
