Academic Advising
I was wondering if the academic advisors for the Faculty of Science were available now, because I am having some problems getting into courses I need to take. I keep calling the number, but all I get is an automated message.

It wont hurt to try. It says here that they are available from 1:30pm http://www.science.mcmaster. ca/ass...if-i-need-help

When I called them, they just told me that I can take stats 2bo3 in 3rd year(not helpful...like i didn't know that already). And that I should contact the physics department for the issue with physics 1b03.
Hope this helps.

cooll thx i guess ill try it tomorrow....plus that stats 2b03 comment is really annoying, i dont have space for it in 3rd year -_-.... you know id think by now theyd understand the concept of supply and demand, if they know there are all these bio kids wanting and needing to take it why dont they open up more seat or make another core. honestly

Funny, the lady actually told me that there are seats available in 2nd semester for stats2bo3. She actually sounded like she wanted to help. It was after she called the math department that she told me to consider taking it in 3rd year .

if youre in H. Bio Physiology Specialization you should be able to get into Stats on SOLAR- cause it is a program requirement.... thats rly strange that you couldnt get in :(

...or at least it says you need to take it by the end of level III, but still....

Most of the Stats 2B03 seats are reserved for upper years. The course is not designed for second year students, however because the material is of second year level they have to label it as a second year course. The course is designed for students who plan on doing a thesis as they have to include statistical analysis in their research.
