I would strongly suggest doing the advanced function math and calculus grade 12 before entering the university because that will save you like a 1000 bucks because each course is around 500ish something and if you do these course before coming in then it is in all your interest

The weird thing about McMaster is that they choose your faculty depending on alphabetical order, so since Economics comes before English you will be placed in Social Sciences, therefore you might as well accept your offer for that faculty to begin with. Like mentioned above there is the department of experiential education for social sciences students which is very useful being a social sciences student. Economics has alot of math in upper year courses, I took first year which had very little but above that there is quite a bit I know alot of people doing econ and math/stats because it is relatable.

1. You can decide what faculty to go to by looking at what you are really good at and what you find more interesting: English or Math. If you like essays than humanities is good but if you're stronger in math than social sci.
2. econ is all math!
