I just tried getting into Brandon Hall from underground using my access card but it didn't work, so I walked up to the main entrance to try there, didn't work and neither did the side door. I know the doors are locked after 9 but it was only 8pm. This is the first time this has happened, does anyone know why/how I can fix it?

I live in Brandon Hall btw, so it's not like I'm using the card in the wrong building :l

I believe that Housing disables your card the day after your final exam as 12 PM. After your final exam I believe you are required to move out,

Bring the access card to Housing Services (Commons) to have it checked out. It may have become defective.

It happened to me once, and they replaced my card. They shouldn't charge you anything for it, unless you physically damaged the card.

Why would they require you to move after only term 1? =/

not move out, but everyone has to leave the rez after their last exam by the next day at 12pm (at the latest) and they will disable your access card after 12pm.

if you plan on staying the entire holidays you are suppose to make arrangements with the housing staff

My CAs said the access card should still work even a day after your exam, but that the housing people will be informed that you are still on res even after your exams are done because you swiped your card....or sometin

i believe they send out emails like a month before telling you that you have 24 hours after you last exam till you card is deactivated. otherwise just find someone you know in your building to let you in if you stay later

Definitely get it checked out. If you're supposed to be in the building, i.e. till 12 pm on the day after your last exam, and it's still not working, then there's probably something wrong with the card. So take it to the Service desk, or the housing office in the Commons bldg.

Yeah I'll go see what housing has to say because my final exam is on the 21st so it shouldn't be deactivated yet :s
