Activation and Enabling Goodness

Activation and Enabling Goodness

You want your McMaster e-mail enabled but are having troubles? Here is the process and timeline that you need to take.

1) Activate your MAC ID. By now you've already done this since you need it to get into MUGSI and SOLAR. This process takes up to 24 hours.

2) Enable Your MAC ID services
This is what you're going to want to do next. Enabling your services gives you access to your MUSS e-mail, UTS Printing Services, Clean Access to get on the Internet on campus, ESL Support @ Mac, Free Anti Virus software, and access to WebCT. Some of these services will be enabled instantly, while others can take up to 24 hours to start working.

In order to enable you need to have selected at least 1 course in SOLAR AND have confirmed your Payment Agreement!

3) E-mail takes 24 hours
After enabling, wait 1 full business day. You'll then be able to get e-mail at [email protected] master.ca, but if you want to receive e-mail at [email protected] (without the muss.cis) then you will need to wait another full day.

Having Problems?
If you've followed the steps above and continue having issues with your MAC ID, contact the UTS Service Desk (905) 525-9140 x24357 or send email to [email protected].
