Advice on my timetable?
Does my timetable look too crowded or unbalanced?

And is it a bad idea to have BIO 1A03 and BIO 1M03 in the same semester? I know I want Bio 1M03 in first semester because I've heard complaints about the difficulty of the second semester professors.

Is Campos a better professor than Zhu? I've heard that Campos tests are harder and worded weirdly, her notes are not thorough, and some people have said Zhu's tests are very fair, and she's very nice, so that's why I wanted it semester 1.

And, does anyone know the Chem 1A03 professors? I only see Goward's name, is she a good professor?

And if you've had any of the teachers on my list, can you give me your opinions on their teaching, difficulty, and helpfulness?

Thanks!

looks beautiful. i would add a bio in first term (trade for econ or physics) trade it for econ if you wanna do physics 1b03 in second term(assuming you havent done gr 12 physics). timetable is very light and chillin. looks similar to commerce. looks good if those are the courses you wanna take and are interest in

#1 Have you checked ratemyprofessors.com ?

#2 For chem usually you'll have lab one week tutorial the next so the lab section you are in is also your tutorial section you don't choose a different tutorial. Tutorials are not mandatory so you can attend any one you want

#3 I personally would have hated having both Bios in the same semester. It's not impossible but I feel like having them in different semesters would be better no matter the profs

#4 I had Campos for Genetics and she was a good prof! Her ratings on ratemyprofessors.com seem a little outdated but then again I haven't had her for any other classes. In my experience she was very passionate about her work and always willing to spend some extra time with you to help you on concepts you didn't understand.

Either way people might say a certain prof is hard or w/e and a lot of times it is important to listen but it's also important to go in with an open mind! So personally I think you should take Bio 1A03 the semester with Campos and not have 1A03 and 1M03 together.

The only reason I want Bio 1A03 in sem 1 is because Zhu who is teaching it will match my learning style. I like having the detailed notes on the slides, because it means that I can focus more on studying the material then figuring out how to write my notes to make them thorough enough to study.

And I've heard how hard Bio 1M03 in sem 2 is with quinn/evans, so I want it sem 1.

But I guess I might have to switch one of them.

Has anyone had Bio 1M03 and Bio 1A03 in the same semester?

I don't recommend both of them in the same term, but it might be okay. Just be prepared to have a lot thrown at you at once, not just because it's your first term at university but also because you might have the bio midterms really close together since the majority of people take them in different terms. But if I were you I would keep it as is! I don't recommend Quinn, especially if you like detailed slides and notes!

just do bio 1m03 second term. second term profs are better lecturers. in first year bio, profs wont matter. hundreds of kids still end up doin fantastic no matter who the prof is.

Well, if anything, I might take Bio 1A03 in second term, since most people say negative things about Zhu and Campos, but I'm leaning towards keeping it the way it is.

Depends on your preference and whether or not you can pay attention for 2-3 hours at night.
