I think it goes for all programs and for physio, that once you're in the program in second year, you continue in the program for the next 3 years. I'm sure there is an average that you have to maintain though to stay in it, I'm not sure what it is exactly though.

Well in bio physio most of the courses you take are requirements, but I did take PSYCH 2B03 - Personality and I thought it was a great course. Your grade is based on just 2 midterms and the exam. The prof, Dr. Day, puts up practise questions and most of the test questions are gotten off of that. Plus, all of Dr. Day's lectures are posted online, it's useful if you missed something in lecture but also a good excuse not to go

Haha I agree! It's definitely a good break from all the classes with 600+ people in MDCL1305!
I took Hth Age 1BB3 and Kin 1YY3 (took Kin 1Y03 in first year), but I know a ton of people who took Psych courses (2B03, 2AP3, 2E03.. etc) or Math 1AA3/1LT3.. It's actually very open and you can pretty much take anything you like

I believe the limit is 48 units or 16 courses for first year.

I'm currently debating between this program and either molecular biology and genetics, or biochem (biomed)....please convince me why I should choose physiology lol.

1. because cookie monsters in it
2. because chocolate chip cookies are the best
3. well it all depends on what u like, i personally like the bigger stuff, so animal physiology, and am not much into genetics or the molecular side of biology, and i dont like chem. think about what you much rather study * biology, physio, animals *biology molecules and genes or * biology with chemisty, so i would assume more of the molecular stuff

Yep, it includes the 30 units of first year. So essentially, it's two 3-unit courses per year after first year (but you can take them at any time during your undergrad)

this is slightly off the general flow of this thread...however, i applied to bio w/ physio but didn't in...i m gonna re-apply in my third year. can somebody give me more information regarding transferring in 3rd year?
these are the courses i will be taking in my second year.
term 1: bio 2b03, bio 2f03, chem 2e03, psych 1x03, stats 2b03
term 2: bio 2a03, biochem 2ee3, life sci 2n03, psych 2ap3, physics 1b03
i will take the organic chem in the summer 2012, and maybe bio 2c03 then too..
i chose these courses to fulfil the requirements that i could for second year bio physio. some i cant due to program restrictions so i will take those hopefully in my 3rd year.
is the cut-off the same for applicants applying for 3rd year (9.3)?
