Animation Studios are moving to Hamilton (100 jobs)

Via RaiseTheHammer

There were some great announcements about downtown at yesterday's Hamilton Economic Summit. Two animation companies from Toronto are moving here. Chuck Gammage Animation, with ten employees, is moving to James Street North into the building at the intersection of James and Cannon.
Pipeline Studios is moving into the recently renovated brick building at the corner of Main Street West and Queen Street, bringing an impressive 100 employees into Hamilton.

GREAT NEWS FOR THE CORE!

I wouldn't give up on Hamilton folks. I personally see tons of potential and opportunity in this city. The McMaster Innovation Park, the Pan Am games stadium, and a surging arts community, as evidence by this news, should really do some good in the near and long term.

Not to mention Hamilton was recently named the best place to invest in all of Ontario: http://www.thespec.com/news/business...aces-to-invest

All we need in Hamilton is some investment to return Hamilton back to it's "glory days" for lack of a better word. Hamilton is a prime location (right near water, and the escarpment), but we just need to invest in some infrastructure to clean up the streets and we'll have investors from all over coming in. Also, since we're attempting to switch from a predominantly steel-manufacturing city to medical research, we'll still have the advantages of making money from the steel that is already here while attracting investment in sciences and what not. Hamilton is in a prime location, we just need a bit more investment.

to bad all the money is being invested in the wrong places.

the first priority should be cracking down on the crazies roaming the streets.
