another newbie!
Hey everyone!

My name is Andrijana and i'll be attending Mac this fall for business. I'm super excited, i've been lurking this site all day! Any tips/suggestions for first year success? Also, what are some business/non-business related clubs you guys suggest? I can't wait to get involved with the mac community and meet you all!

Well, if you're an off campus student, I can't recommend SOCS (Society of Off-Campus Students) highly enough. Its a great organization that has a tonne of awesome events, membership gets you discounts to various businesses around Hamilton, and its just full of awesome people.

And welcome to MI!

Yes! More business students! Soon we shall overthrow Macinsiders!

I'm really the last person that should be giving advice on getting involved, but anyways you'll see most clubs available during clubsfest (if you're here for welcome week). If you already have an idea of what you want to specialize in during third year (i.e. marketing, accounting, etc.) you could sign up for whichever one suits you.

If you haven't taken DECA in high school, there's no reason to not take DECA U. If you have, well that's and advantage to you right there.

Also: Solar Car Business Team. Join it.

You can order them online when the time comes and pick it up when you move in.
