Anthro 2G03 as a second year elective
Hey guys,

I recently came across the course anthro 2G03 (Indo European myths) which looks amazing! I've always been really interested in mythology and the course itself doesn't seem too hard. The only thing is the core for this course conflicts with another core for one of the courses thats mandatory for my program.

From previous experiences, is there anyone that's taken the course that can tell me how necessary it is to be in lecture? From what I've read online the tests are based 5 books which contain the myths discussed in class and that reading the books is essentially how to prepare for assessment. I'd really appreciate any comments!

Thanks in advance.

The lectures aren't that necessary, just know the books well. The tests are also open book, so you can even bring them with you. The only problem is that all your grades come from those tests. There is one test for each book, and they are held in lecture. So you definitely need to be in lecture when there's a test.

Thank you so much! do you know what days the tests are usually held on? I wouldn't be missing all the lectures, just some of them due to the conflict. Also, about how long are the five books you need to read?
