Fixed for irony.
Also, I just have to troll in the obvious troll thread.

I like the strike too! It puts me an advantage over other students since I can teach material to myself... which will get me higher grades in the end, its perfect!

Ooops. I can't believe i've been spelling that word wrong. Been spending too much time learning how to spell in italian and learning to spell anatomical terms that i've completely forgotten to work on my atrocious English spelling.

mcmaster's reputation. pfft.
why would the university offer LESS than what it had before, on the last day? shouldn't it be doing everything in its power to prevent TA's from striking? perhaps, they WANTED the TAs to strike...so they can make MONEY. after all money is the underlying goal of all institutions.
i <3 conspiracy theories
but seriously. sadly, money makes the world go round. bureaucracies want to make big bucks even if its at the cost of innocent bystanders.

Yes, striking does mean an end to annoying iClicker questions in Chem 1A03 tutorials for a bit, but in the long run it grows to become a serious problem.
- It affects the university's reputation if our strike drags on forever (see: York)
- It affects TA's who have to deal with the issue of wanting to help their students yet having to run the risk of being inconvenienced by the CUPE (see: Mike (Mowicz), AYuen (Can't recollect), PTDGreg (Greg), etc)
- It affects commuters who have to run all the way across campus for their damn buses and to get to class
- It affects students who have unreasonable professors and whose TA's would fight against that to ensure that the classes got the marks they deserve
- It affects the students who also put in a genuine effort and are greatly helped by a TA explaining redox reactions in a straightforward manner
It's not all that funny to me, though you are entitled to your opinion.

I can't believe some of the immature and irrelevant comments I have read in various discussions regarding the strike. Honestly, stop all the personal attacks and grow up...This strike is a serious issue.

Yeah, I get my kicks off starting at a university and paying thousands of dollars only to find out 2 months in that there's a TA/RA strike. Good times?
On a serious note, it is somewhat exciting to see fellow students be so opinionated and such. I just wish it weren't because of something like this.
