I don't think that's quite true.

Michelle posted that she could no longer access ELM for the course she TAs for, but Greg did post that he still had access. Its most likely different for each course, not an across the board thing.

i agree with your latter sentence, but this strike is not on the level of york's and i think mac will use the lesson learned from york and not let this drag out for 2 months.

I am NOT enjoying the strike >.<
Having to walk off the campus and go onto main street is completely inconvenient, and it's hard to get to class.
Also, all of my tutorials are cancelled.
I did NOT pay $5000 to NOT go to tutorials. -_-

I hope it gets resolved quickly.

The ELM issue is really unpreventable. The University is probably worried that striking TA's might abuse their privaleges and disrupt courses.

She was obviously joking. Mac is directly to blame for blocking TA access to ELM. But CUPE is directly to blame for the strike in general.

I don't really understand the whole purpose of this strike. I mean, everyone says its for money and that's all I've been hearing. I feel like CUPE and unions in general are not doing what they were originally created to do. I mean... MORE pay? When TA's got underpaid, then sure, or treated wrongfully, go right ahead! But MORE money? TA's work extremely hard, and I understand that, but really??
