Bates has a reputation for being one of the best res' at mac, as long as you have a laid back CA on your part of the floor youre in for a good time.

A great resource for international students is international linens! Search it on the mac website!

I loved being at bates, it was very comfortable and there was lots of privacy! Good study space because you have your own room! No need to worry about sharing bathrooms with everyone on the floor! It's an apartment style. you will enjoy your stay there

I live in Bates now and it is SICK !
It's just so nice. If you want some privacy you can go to your room and lock the door, if you feel like socializing you hangout in your living room. The apartments are pretty decent.
Also there is alot of interaction between neighbors
