Avenue downall bloody night since 2am. Tried to download the course content but has not worked. (They are these flash power point slides with narration that take you to a url that I needed. Not sure if they are downloadable.)

I bloody well needed to study.

If you can access the powerpoint slides, that's definitely better than it could be. Are you sure it's not your computer?

I can’t get anything - what I need to study are these slides with a narration in running the background. Not even sure what they are called but they come up on a separate url that is an avenue based url. There is a way to download avenue content but I was never able to download this course content for whatever reason.


I can’t even log in period and I did try more than one computer.

So you had a lot of squandered study opportunities ? Didn’t they come up with strategies toaddress these issues such as posting content in multiple formats.

Multiple formats wouldn't have fixed the disaster that was ELM.
McMaster stopped using ELM after one year and many profs stopped using it even earlier. I had a couple of classes on google groups and one prof who printed off his notes and physically distributed them to the class.

If you're having issues with formatting (and from your post it sounds like you've been having these issues all term), you should either ask your prof about posting it in a different format or asking classmates if they can help in some way.

Working fine here. Honestly, I never have issues with Avenue, unless it's a scheduled downtime. Which web browser is OP using?

it was down middle of night last night. its been fine for quite a few hours now

you can definetly download the flash PP with help of apps/addons

how come avenue goes down on non scheduled maintenance days ?

Cause the software is buggy? Other things can happen as well (i.e. someone can pull a random plug somewhere).
