I was just wondering if someone could explain to me what Avenue to Learn is, and what exactly its purpose is.

Avenue to learn is where your professors will post all course announcements, notes, the course syllabus and all other information for the course. Some courses have online quizzes through avenue, and there are discussion boards where you can ask your TA or professors questions about the course content or administrative stuff. It's important to check it frequently because that's where professors will post important news updates or information.

It's a learning portal. All the assignments/ outline/marks/slides are put there. Some profs do quizzes / assignments there too

Such an appropriated program name. My high school wasn't First Class material .

Just since no one has mentioned it yet, there are some courses which don't use avenue. I'm not sure how frequently it occurs in other faculties, but most of the CompSci profs seem content to make their own website.

If you ever took some online courses in high school, Avenue to Learn basically have the same function as E-learning...
