Average and Deferred Exam
Hey everyone, I've had a terrible year due to an on going medical issue. It caused me to defer one of my exams (posted about it earlier). By the looks of it, my overall average will be around 2.5ish.
Since I deferred one of my exams, will they wait until I've written it to judge if I have above a 3.0 gpa or do I need a 3.0 even with a F in the deferred course.

Also, the deferred exam is worth 55%, meaning I have only done 45% of the course. But in the 45% that I've done, I've achieved at least a 75%.

My guess is that they will wait until you write your deferred exams, but that's really just a guess. Contact an academic advisor, they will be able to give you a more reliable answer.

Contact your academic adviser asap. They'll give you the best possible solution, and are known to make exceptions on a case to case basis.

As others mentioned, talk to an academic advisor asap! And more importantly, work really hard to avoid falling below the 3.0. You should also consider whether or not you can realistically write the deferred exam in June and do well on it;speak to them about that as well.

Good luck!
