I checked out the list of previous bands that have played at Mac for welcome week, and each year, there seemed to be about 8-10..

Why do we only have 2 this year?

WOOO there, 8-10 where did you get that number? Lol i remember only 2 concerts in 2010.

Each concert sometimes has somebody else opening... but no way do we have 8-10 bands for WW

All of those bands/people haven't played during WW, but throughout the entire school year.

There's always usually a band or two playing per night (2 nights total), never as much as 8 as far as I can remember. The list there is for the whole year. (for instance, Lights played at Christmas last year)
