I like how a detailed description was given explaining the functions of a fan, some people might find that very useful in answering this question

Here is a link for a virtual tour so that you can pan around the rooms in les prince to see what you will be living in for next year michelle and yes the rooms are carpeted. Hope you have a great first year

Room is carpeted, there is Air conditioning that is only on during September and April. There is a fan that sucks air in the washrooms.

I got myself a fan for the school year since the Air conditioning is virtually useless.

There is a fan in the bathroom, doesn't always work well, it gets really humid in there. Also depending on the side of the building you are on you may really wanna consider getting a fan. If you are on the football field side is will be really really hot in your room, if you are on the other then it should be fine. I think 224 was on the forest side, it still gets warm but no where near as bad as the other side.

the answer your CA will give you if you ask: there is a fan that is constantly circulating air
from experience: the fan doesn't work well. you're better off keeping the door open, and turning on the ventilation to your room with the window open.

rooms are carpeted, but the bathrooms are tiled (orange tiles for second floor)

as for the air conditioning, it won't be turned on again after they switch it to heating for the winter. so you won't have air conditioning when it gets hot again in april, because there's apparently a bylaw in hamilton that heating needs to be available until a certain day in april or may.

LOL yeah i noticed the square thing too, i feel like there was supposed to be a fan for each bathroom but the construction folk probably forgot or got lazy and didn't install it.
It does seem like a costly feature
