Do the showers have sticky stuff on the bottom so you don't slip? And should you wear flip-flops while showering or is it pretty safe to say you won't get athlete's foot?

No residence has them, that I know of anyway. And my advice is you should always wear flip flops. That's what I've always done, and friends as well. You just never know.

I really liked the bathroom situation in McKay, 2 full washroms per 8 people is more than enough. Only occasionally I had to wait. But other than that, no complaints during my first year.

I was in McKay in my first year and don't worry the bathrooms are super clean. Basically, the layout of McKay is pretty much 2 rez rooms per bathroom: there are 2 rez rooms side by side flanked by a bathroom on either side. There are wheelchair accessible bathrooms at the very end of each floor. The bathrooms are a toilet plus bathtub and shower in an individual lockable room. Cleaning staff clean it during the day everyday and they are very nice. I used to greet them everyday and that just brings a smile to their faces. Hope that helps!
