Becoming a TA
So I applied to be TA for the upcoming school year and was wondering if anyone knew when the positions will be decided?

You have to provide more information than that...
TA positions aren't controlled by one group; the prof's for the specific courses choose their TAs.
What did you apply for a TA position in?

For some courses it's already too late--chem TA applications were due a couple of weeks ago I believe. It entirely depends on the course, though. Check the department's website for more information.

I applied by handing in the TA application form. I did this like a month ago before the deadline. The faculty is Commerce. I was just wondering when people usually get the notice if they were chosen.

Chris, it depends on the course. I was a Commerce TA last year and the prof I worked for was really organized and notified me I'd got the position a few weeks before school started. I know TAs for other Commerce courses that got notified after school had already started, since sometimes tutorials don't start until a week or two in and profs aren't thinking that far ahead.
If you're curious, just email whoever you sent the application to (Probably Sandra Stephens) and most likely she'll have an update for you.

I applied for accounting, marketing, and comp.
2AA3 is the one I'd like most out of those. Is there usually tons of kids applying? And I assume they all have impeccable grades too =(

There are usually an abundance of applications for it. You need a 12 in the class to be competitive, and even then, there are more 12s than positions.
