you have access to a lot of electives in 3rd/4th year like communications that are absolutely amazing... if you are interested in anatomy/physiology there are opportunities you won't get in other programs. bhsc is just a great community and that is the main reason I'd recommend it. I did bhsc biomed because I wanted to take some of the upper year electives but still wanted a strong knowledge foundation in biochemistry as I was at that point still unclear whether or not i wanted to do a PhD. the biochem program is great too but I personally feel it's a huge loss that dr. junop is leaving mac. the 2L06 course is good for getting your foot through the door for biochem lab positions.

health sci for the higher gpa and lighter courseload mainly.

Getting into health science is hard enough, I think you should take it since you managed to get in. And you're always free to take biochem courses as your electives
