Biking At MAC
Hey!

So I finally brought my bike to mac and already I got a flat tire. Is there a place on campus where you can get air for your tires? I think MACycle might.. and how much do things cost there... is it expensive? I might need to replace my tube.

Also where I live there is not a single place to lock my bike safely... could easily get stolen.. are there any good places off campus in the sterling area for locking a bike?

Thanks

I don't know if there is anywhere on campus, but I do know that esso will give you free air if it's for your bike. Well, I'm not sure in Hamilton, but in Toronto they do. I don't see why it would be different in Hamilton. You just have to go inside and ask the guy for air for your bike.

It costs $5 for a membership to MacCycle and they'll fix all your flats for free if you're a member. Its $10 per flat if you're not a member so it makes sense just to get a membership.

They're located down the stairs outside the patio of the Phoenix.

It also makes sense to buy a mini-pump which can easily be carried in your backpack or a bag attached to your bike, look into that!

MacCycle can do a lot of other repairs for you included in the membership price too! And also teach you bike maintenance!
